Blogging about blogging

So, you keep hearing about blogging and think that maybe you should be doing it, too. Fundamentally, there are only two requirements: 1) You need to have someting to say and 2) You need a place to say it.

As far as something to say, just write about something which you are passionate. Many people blog about their families, sports teams, and of course, their business. I blog about best web hosting (I am truly passionate about best web hosting - I love this stuff!).

Now, a place to say it: The gold standard for blogging software is wordpress. wordpress is the Rolls-Royce of blog software; no one else even comes close. Even better, you can get it for free at www.wordpress.org. The only drawback is the limited templates available there. If you need your blog to have an integrated look with your custom web site (and you do need this for business blogs), then you need wordpress from your web host.

(Warning: commercial) Naturally, our best web hosting offers wordpress. The cynical amoung you might be tempted to scoff that I claim wordpress is the cat's meow because we offer it. Not so, I say. In truth, we choose to offer wordpress because it really is the bee's knees. (Ok, commercial over)

One last thing about blogging: In order to keep your loyal readers loyal, you have to do it on a regular basis. I know my hordes of adoring fans wait with bated breath each week for my latest blog about best web hosting (pardon me, I just got carried away about my favorite topic :-)).
